Historical background
Homeopathy is associated with Samuel Hahnemann, an 18th-century physician. In the homeopathic tradition, “like cures like” is a principle used when selecting a remedy in relation to a person’s symptom picture.

A simple introduction
I explain the terms used in homeopathy without promising a particular health result.
Homeopathy is associated with Samuel Hahnemann, an 18th-century physician. In the homeopathic tradition, “like cures like” is a principle used when selecting a remedy in relation to a person’s symptom picture.
In my homeopathic approach, “like cures like” is a traditional principle I may consider when selecting a remedy. It does not guarantee a particular outcome.
Homeopathic remedies are prepared through dilution and succussion, or shaking. I select remedies in relation to the symptom picture we discuss during a consultation. This explains the traditional preparation process; it is not evidence that a remedy will work for a particular person.
This page is educational and does not diagnose a condition or promise a particular result.
